SMS Opt-In Flow

Last updated: June 11, 2026

This public page documents how customer portal users opt in to optional transactional SMS notifications in Hello Sniff. The live customer portal is account-gated, so this page provides the same consumer-facing consent language for carrier review.

1. Where opt-in happens

A pet parent signs in to the customer portal for the pet care business they use, opens Family, edits a household contact, enters or confirms a mobile phone number, and chooses whether to receive text notifications.

SMS consent is optional, separate from general account terms, and not required to create or use a portal account.

2. Consent control shown to users

Notification methods
EmailText/SMS

By selecting Text/SMS, I agree to receive recurring transactional text messages from Hello Sniff and the pet care business connected to my account. Messages may include staff messages, schedule updates, booking reminders, billing notices, and urgent operational notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out. View the Terms and Privacy Policy.

3. Confirmation and opt-out

After SMS is enabled, Hello Sniff sends a confirmation text: "Hello Sniff: You are subscribed to transactional text notifications for your pet care account. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

Users can turn off SMS in their customer portal contact preferences at any time. They can also reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help where supported by the messaging provider.

4. Message types

  • Staff messages from the pet care business
  • Schedule updates and booking reminders
  • Billing notices and invoice reminders
  • Urgent operational notices such as closures or pickup changes
